Bold bonds in Hydrocarbons
I've seen this in Botany, where in Glucose there exists three bold bonds in it's ring structure. A sir of mine in college told me that It's because of 3D image!! But another teacher told me(who is not in my college) that's because of cyral carbon. If that is so then what is the cyral carbon???

yes, its just for clarification of the 3D image. the bold lines mean the corresponding bonds are coming out of the page and the dotted lines refer to bonds going into the page.
chiral carbon= a carbon atom with 4 different things attached to its 4 hands...
