Re: Easiest problem of Apmo
Hey, I got the $5^{th}$ solution also. But I couldn't post it as I didn't know that $a,b>0$ :( Here it is: Obviously $(36a+b)=2^m$ and $(36b+a)=2^n$ for some $m,n$. WLOG, let $m\ge n$ \[\therefore 2^n|2^m\] \[\Rightarrow 2^n|36a+b\] \[\Rightarrow 2^n|(36a+b)+2^n\] \[\Rightarrow 2^n|(36a+b)+(36b+a)\]...

Re: Problems
Probably Rakeen will give solution of problem 1. Here is solution to problem 2: If we choose any two points that are not on same side of the $n\ gon$ then we will find a straight line. Lets number the sides of $n\ gon$ with $1,2,3,...,n$. Start with side $1$. For each of the $m$ points of this side,...

Re: BdMO 2010 H. Sec. problem 8
GCD means Greatest Common Divisor (গ.সা.গু)
$a\equiv b(mod\ n)$ means if you divide $a$ and $b$ by $n$, you will get same residue. In other words, $a-b$ is divisible by $n$.
