Re: BdMO National Secondary 2011/9
Suppose, \[\sqrt{3}=a, \sqrt{2}=b\] After point of these numbers,digits aren't same.these are 'going on'.So a+b and a-b are irrational.There are no r and r' where a+b equals to 100th power of r and a-b equals to 100t power of r',while r and r' are rational. So the number given is irrational.Is mine ...

Re: BdMO National Secondary 2011/10
The repeat numbers always have divisors 11,101,1001,10001... It is necessary to have 1,0 to be ''repeat'',otherwise digits won't be same. To get square either divisors like 11,101,1001.... will be square or their squares will be divisors. First one isn't possible and while squaring the numbers we fi...

Re: divisibility again....:)
If n isn't divisible by 3,then the remainder of its squre by 3 will be 1.
So it isn't possible.
So it isn't possible.

Re: Dhaka Secondary 2009/3
DHC and ABC are similar.\[so \frac{CD}{BC}=\frac{CH}{AC}=\frac{DH}{AB}=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\] from this ,we need to make \[\frac{CD}{CH} or \frac{AB}{AC}\] or anything else and may find C with trigonometric ratios. it's my way(may be same) but how to value these factions?that makes to do 1st similarit...

It's an equilateral triangle.Therefore,ans is 60
We know that in an equilateral triangle, the bi-sectors of angles, altitudes and bi-sectors on sides from opposite points, are same(it can be proved easily). Here orthocenter, centroid, circumcenter also same.so...
