Is this for Windows only??

I cant view the coded Latex lines in TEXmaker{{[[[(about texmaker: Texmaker 2.1

When you are making a LaTeX document you need to add some preambles (headers) like programming file.

Also there is a chance that your settings are not correct. You should probably use Texnic center and follow the instructions of AOPS.

No. You probably already know that LaTeX is available on every platform.
