A square is divided into three pieces of equal area as shown.The distance between the parallel lines is $1$ $cm$.What is the area of the square?

All of the three areas have same area.According the question there height is same.So there base must be same.That's why the length of the one side of the square is $1×3=3$.
The area of the square $=3\times 3=9$.
The area of the square $=3\times 3=9$.
