Bristy writes the numbers \(1, 2, 3, \cdots , 9\) on a board in that order. In a move she can pick any \(3\) adjacent numbers and reverse their order. For example, \((1, 2, 3, 4, \cdots )\) can become \((3, 2, 1, 4, \cdots)\). How many distinct sequences can she make using one or more such moves?

We can think it by odd and even.

if we change the number randomly only the first and last number will change their place. But the middle number will not change.
So from 1 to 9 there are 5 odd and 4 even number.

Then we permute odd and even number is 5! and 4! ways, as the choice is independent.

So our answer is 5! * 4! = 24*24*5 = 2880.
