Preparation Marathon

Unread post by Masum » Sun Dec 25, 2011 10:01 pm

Here I am going to start a marathon for the olympians(specially for the Mymensing participants). A question will be attached here and then the participants have to send the solutions within $1$ day, of-course using LaTeX. The solutions are to be posted through private messages. Send them to me.
The problem set will be posted soon.
Edit: Currently going on Round 1

Here is the problem set for the first round. Your scores will be shown here(though that is not important at all :)). This is first time If you find any error or need any clarification, say it here.
Edited typo. Download it again if you have done it already.
Best of luck.

$3.$ Find all $n ∈ N$ such that $n$ divides both $x^2 − x + 1$ and $x^2 + x + 1$ for some
$x ∈ Z.$

There are some $x$ such that...
If you still don't understand then you can ignore this words and do as you think $x$ to be :) just find such $n$

I meant tangentially to $\Gamma_1$ but didn't mention that. :)

Should I look for a way to get a numerical value in number 4?

It is better if you send the solutions all at a time, and try to take no second chance. Because in the real olympiad you never get a second chance.
