can you write properly using LaTeX? Your equation is confusing. Please go to the link, below my post.
Thanks for posting. :)

BTW did you mean \[ a_1x^n+a_2x^{n-1}+a_3x^{n-2}+\cdots+a_{n-1}x=0 \] :?:
In that case your equation is incorrect. The last term should be $a_n$
If you want a general solution to the equation,
\[ a_1x^n+a_2x^{n-1}+a_3x^{n-2}+\cdots+a_{n}x=0 \]
then I'd say that for any polynomial with degree $\geq 5$ does not have a general solution (like quadratic equation).

for which function f(x),if f(x) is divisible by (x-r),then it is divisible by (rx-1) where x and r are real numbers.
btw thanx for the reply

In the last problem did you just wanted to know if that is solvable or not?

Anyway for the second one I must request you to make a separate topic. Here we use separate topic for every problem. I did not notice last time that you are posting an algebra problem in Geometry forum. For this time I am moving this post. From the next time please use the correct forum when posting a topic.

BTW when you are talking about some function please indicate the domain and co-domain.

sorry,the function says f:r-r(meaning r to r)
for the first prob i just wanted to know the value of x
soory for my incompetence, i'm new at latex using

no problem. Don't worry. We understand that you are new in the forum. :)
