why so sun

Is sun the "main" source of energy or "ultimate" source of energy? IF it is the main source of energy then why so?
Cause the plants learnt how to convert the light energy to chemical energy. And each and almost every life on earth gets the energy from that chemical energy and convert them to some other form. So, the sun is the main source of energy of all the living elements on this planet.Asif Hossain wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 10:13 amIs sun the "main" source of energy or "ultimate" source of energy? But not machines right?Anindya Biswas wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 12:27 pmCause the plants learnt how to convert the light energy to chemical energy. Well, if the machine runs with solar power, then obviously yes. If it runs with oil, then that energy is coming from the energy stored by some life a few million years ago. If it uses energy that came from a nuclear power plant, then we can say it doesn't use sun power directly.Asif Hossain wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 12:45 pmBut not machines right?Anindya Biswas wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 12:27 pmCause the plants learnt how to convert the light energy to chemical energy. Then we can say sun is actually not the source of all energy right? (BTW isn't sun it self a nuclear plant?Meaning we are actually making use of the same process as sun)Anindya Biswas wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 12:53 pmWell, if the machine runs with solar power, then obviously yes. Yeah, all the energy we use comes from some nuclear reaction.Asif Hossain wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 6:06 pmThen we can say sun is actually not the source of all energy right?
