According to Markovnikov's rule te followed reaction would be like this:
$CH_3 - CH_2 - CH_3$ $+ Br$ $\rightarrow$ $CH_3 - CH_2 - CH_2 - Br$ 3% $+$ $ CH_3 - CH -BrCH_3$ (2-bromo propane 97%)
and the production rate is different for different material. How can we know what would be the production rate(theoriticaly)? I mean it could have been 5%:95% or something where 2-bromo propane would be higher than the other one.
