In a chess competition there are $101$ players and each of them is fixture to play one match with each of the rest. But one player got sick and could not play any match. At most how many players could play all the matches?

100 . Because there are 100 players who will play with each other . The question is not how many match played but how many player play all the match.

Doesn't 'All' matches include the match against the 'sick player' ? Then the answer should be 0 !!

I think the ans is 0, since the sick player is absent none will be able to play with him, so no other player will play full 100 matches, they all ahve to play 99, isnt it???
