Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad

The Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad (BdMO) began its journey in April 2001. Each year, we organize months-long, country-wide festivals around mathematics, open to school and college students (up to Class XII). The main festival season usually runs from December to February.

Through the dedicated efforts of the Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad Committee (BdMOC), the daily newspaper "Prothom Alo," and Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL), the program has already achieved several primary goals, including successfully sending a national team to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) since 2005 and securing a gold medal in the competition.

In addition to arranging the regional and national Math Olympiads, the BdMOC also supervises the Bangladesh National Math Camp and participation in the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad (APMO). The committee consistently offers its cooperation to all interested groups and individuals who wish to organize Local Math Olympiads, Parallel Math Schools, and Math Clubs. The entire Bangladesh Math Olympiad process, including the selection of the National Team for the IMO, is governed by the official set of rules known as the BdMO Regulations.
